Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor is a Mumbai based boy with film background but yet whatever he has achieved till date is self earned. He is a 22 years old hero who's just one film old in the industry but has offers from Boney Kapoor, Nitin Manmohan and Abbas Mustan. He has achieved all this on his own, though he has film family tag. His father is Pankaj Kapoor and mother is Neelima Azim. Shahid has inherited from his parents great acting talent. He had never told his parents that he wanted to be an actor before signing his first film.

Shahid Kapoor debut film is Ishq Vishk Pyaar Vyaar in 2003. It was a hit. He got the "Hero Cycles stardust Award" and "Film Fare" for the best New Comer of the year 2003. When he went for the audition of Ishq Vishk ... for the first time he was rejected because he looks too young. Then Ken Ghosh saw him a years later in a public place, he was completely changed. Ken asked him to come again for audition and their he was selected.

After the release of Ishq Vishk ... he wasn't offered any other films for few months though his film done well and his acting is also appreciated. Actually producers and directors had no subjects for a 22 years old guy. Then people started writing subjects for him and he started getting lots of offers. He had to wait six months before his second film went on floor. He had gone through 80 scripts between may and november 2003 before signing.

Right now the films he is doing Ken Ghosh's Fida with tips. Its a triller movie, other co-stars are Kareena Kapoor and Fardeen Khan, Boney Kapoor's Milenge Milenge which is directed by Satish Kaushik again starting with Kareena Kapoor. Nitin Manmohan's untitled film which has three girls in it. It's a light romantic comedy about which of the three girls get him. Mahesh Manjrekar's Life Ho To Aisi.

Shahid might consider himself below par compared to his father but he certainly seems at top with other top stars. Stories are their that he's asking for a crore. But shahid deny's. He says, "he is getting what he is quoting as his film done well and people liked his work but not such a big amount like crore".

These days Shahid and Kareena Kapoor are seen together lot of time spending with each other either on or off the sets. Kareena is also seen keen to know about shahid's family. She likes her mother, his younger brother and even shahid's dog. At Kareena sister's wedding Shahid was a very special looked after guest. But shahid codes "That is only professional relationship. We are not dating each other".
